Alcatel - Lucent's (Bell Labs) LightRadio Cube While OPALCO hasn't discussed them, arrays of these cubes can be deployed on light posts, utility poles, and buildings in Roche Harbor, Eastsound Village, Lopez Village, etc. Their range is probably a couple city blocks, but the power usage and radio energy is much lower than the tower antennas OPALCO is proposing. Each cube can service up to maybe 60 cell (2G, 3G, & 4G) phones or broadband Internet. These create micro-cells which potentially reduce traffic bottlenecks and data throttling.

Camano Island Utility Pole with antennas at top. Perhaps these might be an option for OPALCO to use within their existing utility right of ways rather than having to follow the cell tower setback rules. Probably about 60 feet tall.
